Humor, Colin Firth, and a meta-spy movie that never calls attention to the British dialects or Samuel L. Jackon’s perfect lisp. It’s got an amazing soundtrack that goes perfectly with the movie. I would 100% recommend this to a friend. It is funny (without trying too hard). Yes, there is a lot of action and a decent amount of gore, but it’s done very well! There put in just the right amount of cheesiness, that reminds you it was originally a comic book. You don’t just see heads explode, you see them burst into mushrooms clouds and fireworks. And the fight scenes! I’m not a movie expert, but I know there were some pretty long shots, in at least one of the scenes, and that gives the movie even more credit.
I normally am not a huge action/spy movies. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good fight scene and I think the spy idea is really cool, but generally it’s not my first pick. I have completely changed my mind after seeing “Kingsman”. In fact, it’s motivated me to watch other spy movies because it was just so damn good.
There are so many things I could say. But lets keep it simple: if you’re interested in a movie that is so good it will make you want to watch it again the second it ends, go see it. That is all.
